BIO
RUBUS is the alt-pop project by Belgian singer-songwriter Bram Van Hecke (28, Antwerp). The repertoire exists of breezy straight-forward songs that have reminded some of Tracy Chapman, Tom Dice or George Ezra. First singles Sit Down and Rewind and Needless Serenade made it to national radio in Belgium and Serbia and were good for a selection for HRR2020, Belgium’s most prestigious band contest that lead the way for bands like dEUS, Milow and Evil Superstars.
3 new songs came out as well in 2020 and completed the EP that was released in April. A big reveil party was posponed (for obvious reasons), but free time was used to write new material and look for like-minded musicians. The results were new singles Mr. Perfect and A Little Bit Off, and a band that is ready to conquer Belgian stages.
